As development continues in southern Sherman, talks of a hotel and conference center are beginning to stir again after years of dormancy. During Friday’s monthly coffee with the mayor event, city officials and developers announced plans for The Ridge at Stone Creek, a 46-acre mixed-use planned development that will be anchored by a hotel and conference center.Friday’s announcement represents the return of talks on a convention center, which were stalled during market shifts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
