Parks Master Plan development
Summary
Sachse is replacing its outdated 2010 Parks Master Plan with a roughly $250,000 consultant-led study funded by the MDD. The plan will guide future park development, land acquisition, trails, a possible dog park, and even public art, with heavy emphasis on resident input. The RFQ goes out in October and the finished plan is targeted for spring 2027.

Impact analysis
About $250,000 in MDD money pays for the plan itself; actual trail construction could run $750,000 to $1 million per mile if recommended.
Residents of all ages — especially the city's many young families — get parks, trails and amenities shaped by community input.
