Assault Allegations and Cover-up

Lestia Nelson alleged that the Plano Police Department and District Attorney's Office are coordinating a "no bill" by withholding evidence of an assault on her nonverbal daughter, Sanaya, from the grand jury. She stated the police admitted misconduct but no crime and that the prosecutor would not show the video unless asked.

Alvin Nelson echoed his wife's concerns about the alleged cover-up of an assault on their nonverbal daughter, Sanaya. He questioned why the police assessment was lower than APS findings and asked the city to correct the record and stop the minimization of the abuse.
