Industrial District Designation
Port Isabel officials just tagged Long Island Village as an industrial district, sparking outrage from locals who think it'll tank their property values. While the city manager calls it a clever legal trick to stop residents from de-annexing, the folks living there are left stressing about their community's future.
City Manager Recruitment
The city is moving forward with launching a search for a permanent City Manager, but it won't kick off until ongoing audits are wrapped up. A split 3-2 vote shows some tension on the dais about timing, especially with an upcoming election.
Shary Municipal Golf Course Operations
Mission's got a new community tool shed, making it easier for residents to tackle home projects without breaking the bank. Think of it as a library, but for drills and saws!
