FY 2025-2026 CDBG and HOME Funding Allocations
Summary
The city redirected $1.35 million in federal grant money away from a suspended reunification center project. The funds will now buy equipment for the Rosa Hereford Community Center and build a new irrigation system at the city ballpark. Critics argue the ballpark project doesn't directly help low-income families who might face user fees or have pressing infrastructure needs like private water line replacements.
