Rising costs for the Dry Berry Creek interceptor — which brings wastewater to a business park off I-35 — have prompted Georgetown to extend the timeline for reimbursing a related Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone. A Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone is a geographic area where property tax revenues are put towards making improvements in the dedicated zone. This TIRZ encompasses the CrossPoint business park.
