Beach Maintenance and Coastal Management
An operational update will be provided on the berm relocation project at R.A. Apffel-East Beach. This project affects coastal protection and beach layout at one of Galveston's busiest parks.
Gambling Machine Regulations
Galveston is revisiting a potential ban on eight-liner gambling machines to catch up with neighboring cities that are already cracking down on them. If you hate sketchy storefronts popping up in your neighborhood, this could finally clean them up.
Mobile Food Vendor Regulations
The city is updating its land development regulations and municipal code to comply with House Bill 2044, which shifts food truck health permitting to the state and removes local permit fees and commercial distance restrictions.
