5 issues in general with medium priority
Population Growth
Ellis County is exploding in size, and it’s starting to show in our gridlocked commutes and packed classrooms. Expect your neighborhood to look a lot different soon as the city scrambles to keep up with the influx of new residents.
Public Health Initiative
Methodist Health just finished vaccinating a huge group of our local first responders. It’s a big win for keeping our emergency crews healthy so they can actually show up when we need them.
Civil Rights Protest
Waxahachie residents are hitting the streets to call out racial inequality and demand that city leaders finally address long-standing community divisions. It’s a clear signal that the status quo isn't cutting it anymore and the city needs to have some tough conversations about equity.
Waste Management
Need to clear out your garage? Waxahachie is letting residents dump extra junk for free from May 5th to May 9th, so you can finally get rid of that clutter without paying a dime.
State of the City event
City, county, and school leaders are teaming up on August 25th to give us the lowdown on upcoming projects and where our tax money is going. It’s a rare chance to see all the local decision-makers in one room and get the real scoop on what's changing in Ennis.
