By David Scott Cove Leader-Press On Tuesday, Sept. 22, Rob Erwin was sworn in as interim Coryell County Judge at the County Commissioners courtroom annex. He was sworn in by Judge Trent Ferrell of the 52nd District Court, following the resignation of Judge Roger Miller on Sept. 14. The commissioners met on Tuesday morning and voted unanimously to appoint Erwin to the office.

By Ally Hinkle Cove Leader-Press Coryell County Judge Roger Miller has submitted his letter of resignation amid discussions of the county’s budget and tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year. The letter was submitted to the County Attorney, the County Treasurer and the Commissioners Court on Monday, Sept. 14, to be accepted by the court by the close of business that same day. In the letter, Miller stated his resignation is due to “personal and professional” circumstances making it difficult for him to perform his duties.
